All presenters teach reading at UCA and work with children and university students in tutoring experiences for struggling readers. These experiences provide many insights and strategies that can be replicated to improve reading in our state.

Dr. Amy Thompson

Assistant Professor, University of Central Arkansas

I am the Program Director for UCA\\'s Masters in Reading and Dyslexia Endorsements. I teach classes on structured literacy, methods, assessment, intervention, and supervise practicum experiences. I am passionate about helping teachers help struggling readers.
