Apocalyptic literature encompasses tales of supernaturally inspired cataclysmic events that transpire at the end of the world. It addresses issues of what it means to survive during and after events that ravage life and society; what it means in terms of reconstruction of society, government, culture, etc. as known by the modern human. In this session, we will discuss how using apocalyptic literature as anchor texts supports various genres of writing (narrative, expository, argumentative, research) and promotes an authentic writing experience for the student.
